I think any psych major should first figure out what they want to do-what particular branch-and choose a minor based on that, however I think its perfectly fine to choose an area of interest. Especially since most psych majors will eventually go on to grad school for more of a focus. After all, sometimes a psych perspective is really interesting in classes such as literature classes.
I agree completely! Psychology is such a diverse major that almost anything can work. And I definitely noticed after my sophomore year that my perspective in other classes had changed due to all the psych courses I had taken. It can definitely be enlightening :)
