I'm only 15, so of course, I haven't even gotten the chance to take psychology at my school. I'm going into my sophomore year and it's offered to only juniors and up. But, I read into psychology a lot on my own. I have my own DSM and I go through it and research articles and such on different disorders for fun. It really intrigues me.

Anyway, because I'm so into psychology, I really want to find some way to put it to good use to myself or maybe even other people. Do you know of any summer camps that are specifically psychology? I couldn't seem to find any. I'm just trying to find any type of place, whether it's a summer camp or a place I could volunteer during the year (I live in Saint Louis) that could help me learn more about psychology and maybe even put my knowledge to good use. I've asked a lot of people and nobody has really known much, but anything you can give me would be wonderful. Thank you!

Unfortunately, I haven’t ever heard anything about a type of camp that seems to be what you’re looking for. Maybe someone else will be able to suggest something!

The other thing you could do would be to volunteer at a hospital, I know the ones here once you’ve been volunteering for a year, you can request a department, so you could request to work in the psychiatric department, however, here at least, you have to be 16 to start.
