This is a hard question to answer. It also depends on how small we’re talking.

Of course, just knowing the prevalence of many disorders, I would say you would have a much better shot of doing what you want to do in a large(r) city. That said, I would ask around at hospitals or clinics where you might want to work and see about how many people in the careers you’re looking at (nurse, psychologist, counselor, etc.) that they currently have. If they’ve only got one or two on staff, your possibilities are probably pretty limited. Also, I would check and see how many private clinics or psychologists you have in your town.
