Well, it really depends in what area of psych you want to go into after undergrad, for example, clinical is VERY competitive, the most competitive actually, but there are definitely other areas that aren’t as competitive (ex. social psych).
My advice is to definitely do what you think is interesting and will provide for a fulfilling career, because if you major in something that will basically guarantee you a job, that’s great, but in the end it’ll suck if you don’t enjoy it.
Just make sure to work hard, and hopefully everything will work out.
Sorry, I know that’s slightly vague, but like I said, it really depends on what area of psych you want to go into. I know MOSTLY about clinical, but I do have some, possibly useful, knowledge about other fields in psych. And you can always go into a field that’s not even a major psych field with a degree in psych, so there’s a lot you can do. It just all depends in what you’re interested in.
